Traditional Hats that Men Can Wear Now and Beyond

Fashion hats and capsFashion trends among men and women are constant or changing as the time does from one generation to another, and that also means that the popularity of certain accessories today may diminish tomorrow as consumers are used to getting what is new. But such would never perish especially if one thinks about the traditional hats which are still being worn by many cool and hot guys who seem to be proud of the attractive hat atop their heads. It is certainly one example that the best in the olden times do not lose their importance even in the modern world where they are always on the bottom of buyers’ choice. And if you want to rediscover what had once worn by your forefathers, these are the men’s traditional hats that are great to wear now and beyond:
Tweed Caps and Hats

A lot of men in the United States and the United Kingdom were wearing these hats then and that led them to become popular at that time. And you may not thus get surprised to have probably seen the throng of people having these in everyday use more especially when attending significant events and driving. It is not unusual though as people would more likely prefer the hats made of wool and have various styles just like how the youngsters choose what to wear today.

Stetson Hats

There may be no other name of hats that was so eminent among Americans before than this one which is their traditional icon. It features wide brims and can be turned up at the sides being known also as western or cowboy hat. And even now, this hat is still worn by a lot of horsemen but is being used more for fashion than for practical or functional use; hence, it was very popular in country music circles.

Tilley Hats

This is said to be the favorite traditional men’s hat style that is water-repellent and has wide brim best for sun protection. Likewise, when it comes to durability, you will have no doubt with this having been proven to be versatile and long-lasting. Such is probably because of the good materials such as canvas and waxed cotton used in making the hats, and you can have one for every day use especially while working in your garden or doing any other outdoor activities.

Straw Boaters and Panama Hats

It is already part of elders’ tradition in the villages of Ecuador to make panama hats which are made of fibers from Paja Toquilla palm. These fibers are pliable and processed to produce fine strands for weaving that serve as one secret for making quality Panama hat. And because of that, this has become popular in tropical places but is also worn in other areas around the globe.

Top Hat

If the time is rolled back to 18th century, you would see many English people wearing this traditional hat that is still worn today. This is made of silk before but there are now other materials such as polished melusine, fur felt, and wool felt to make it more attractive. It is also noteworthy that the black top hats are worn during formal occasions and the gray ones are usually for special occasions like the Royal Ascot.

No wonder that the trend of time bears with the changes in fashion and the traditional men’s hats are one proof that what was once great is still best today.
