Beautiful Hats You Could Have Worn in the Past

Women's Hat

Fashion trends come to existence when designers create something new which most buyers would love to wear for a particular season or reason, but they do not last too long in such a world of changing designs. It is apparent on how the preference of people shifts from one style to another as the development in technology affects how the products are made and how the multi-media influence the decision making process. This is just like how the designs of hats in the ‘30s have gradually changed year after years until it reaches the current era. But it is noteworthy that such transformation is not holistic given that some styles are preserved, and that proves that a person or a thing cannot go away from its origin. Thus, reminiscing the yesteryears by knowing the following best hats during the past generations can really be a worthwhile moment if you are a fashion lover:

Sailor Style Hat

One can picture out how men and women look like having a sailor style accessory atop their head though not exactly like that of a pirate. It had followed the bucket style of the cloche hats during the ‘20s as many preferred to have shallow crown which was probably due to their desire of shifting into another way of catching people’s attention. But not only the preference of women to wear sailor’s cap that proves their inclination to such fashion  because they really exerted effort to turn it modernized by surrounding the rounded and shallow crown with brim and used band or piping to incorporate with the color and design.

Small Hat

Women during the ‘30s are really fond of having a romantic aura as can be perceived on how they choose hats to wear. They have preferred the soft finger waves to incorporate dramatic accent while showing their unique hairstyle. This was made even more attractive by the small hats which have shown off the curls at their back or on the sides. It is noteworthy that the said hats were usually made of wool with feathers and flowers to accent style, color, and the veils covering their eyes.

Men’s Hat

It is not only the women who wanted to boost their confidence with attractive hats because men too were making their own identity. This is noticeable among younger men who wore flat and wool caps which snapped in the front and those involved in business with a different style of hat. And there are also various others, and most of them are wool and rounded with stiff brims. Nevertheless, the notable development at that time is when the fedora was introduced in the market and provided men with comfort for being softer and pliable hat.

Large and Angled Hat

Drama shown in theatres had greatly influenced most women in the past that they even took what the actors and actresses wore in plays. This hat was once then a favorite for they could angle it down over one eye to have a look they want, and that became even  more appealing when people put colorful items around such as flowers and ribbons. It is probably one reason why some beautiful hats today still have flowers and other accessories that look great especially on summer.

Indeed, one rewarding moment in a person’s life is when he looks back in the past to better understand why the present appears as it is and predict how future would look like based on the changes that occurred in between different times.
